tv sucks major ass

Hump Day was brought to a close with pizza, wine, and tv at Maryellen's. Damn, TV sucks.

We started the night off with America's Next Top Model, which admittantly, we are both addicted to. It is one show that I try to catch every week. Rebecca (?), the chick who collapsed, is the one I am rooting for. There are some scary girls on that show - of course the porn girl, the one who looks like trailer trash, and the one with the smooshed face. Naturally we have every right to bust on them ;-).

We rotted our brains even more with American Idol. BLECH!! Again, we watch to make fun of the contestants. So those two "rocker guys" - give me a break!!!! Seriously, just because you have long hair, tight jeans, and you want to be Scott Stapp - it doesn't mean you rock. Simon said that one of the guys was smoldering. Gag me. Worst show and concept ever.

After that we were suprised with Wife Swap. Again, another show that fuels my fire and makes me scared to get married or have kids haha. There was this woman who lived in a tree house with her husband and six kids - who are brats and are homeschooled, who switched with a Harvard grad wife who is the "breadwinner" whose husband works from home and their kids are in day care/home schooled and are very structured. So naturally it's one extreme over another. Fun versus regimen. I love Excel, I know I am going to have spreadsheets on everything - from grocery lists to cleaning schedules to afterschool activities haha. The treehouse husnamd kept making fun of the Harvard wife because she couldn't cook. The woman couldn't even make pancakes - even I can fare better than that in the kitchen. But all in all, they all appreciated each others strengths and weaknesses and all was well in the world.

Came home around 11 and dropped my bags in the middle of my tornado wreckage of a room. The LDE guys and Aurora have the ringtone of "Meet Me in London", so I hear it ring and couldn't find my phone in my mess. I ended up knocking over a glass on my table and my laundry basket, so I pick up with Phil laughing and had to explain my situation and how it was very Buster Keaton like for a good minute. We talked about how much TV sucked, the upcoming awesome weekend (which I still have no idea what the heck I am doing yet), their trailer luck, and other randomness. I also then realized that Thursday will be the last night I am in my apartment until Sunday or Monday, which means I need to seriously do laundry and pack and shop if I am going to this DC event. Oh sigh....can there be more hours in the day please?
