Easter candy never loses its luster
I write you this with a Cadbury Creme Egg in one hand, and a glass of water in the other while I ponder the essece that is the Easter Candy ritual.
Here I am:
24 years old
miles away from home
in what some may say is my career
finally have a health insurance card
pay bills...all of which points me in the direction of "adulthood"
Though I still get an Easter Basket. Though this year my mom brought up an Easter bag, but still the same idea. I don't really eat a lot of candy, but my weeknesses are those Reese peanut butter eggs and Cadbury Creme eggs. Everything else can be skipped over. So how great is it that my bag just contained the above items.
But now I am a little scared...when will be the last year that I will get Easter candy? I deserve a little warning, like "Mir, this is the last year you're getting candy". Just so I can brace myself. The holiday treats better go out with a bang too. But then again, will I be 30 still getting an Easter basket? What age is too old?
This is what troubles me late at night. And East came way early this year. It bothers me a little when major holidays aren't spaced out. March is reserved for St. Patrick's Day, April gets Easter. March was all stingy and wanted too holidays this year. Way to go March, ow we just have Arbor Day to look forward to. Woohoo trees!
I also like to peel the chocolate off of my Reese eggs. That's how I like my Reeses: chocolate first.
